stay at wildhaven

re-opening soon

Tucked into 30 private acres of forest, Wildhaven offers a peaceful glamping experience that feels a world away—but is just minutes from the best of North Carolina’s High Country. Whether you're chasing waterfalls at Linville Falls, wine tasting at Linville Falls Winery, or driving the Blue Ridge Parkway to Grandfather Mountain, adventure is always nearby. And yet… as soon as you turn down our quiet road, the world softens.

Here, your days begin with birdsong and French-pressed coffee, and your nights end fireside beneath a sky full of stars. Each stay is designed to blend creature comforts with the beauty of the wild—queen beds, soft blankets, fresh air, and the gentle rhythm of forest life.

This isn’t roughing it. It’s rewilding gently. A cozy, off-the-beaten-path retreat for couples, solo travelers, or friends seeking something slower, deeper, and just a little magical.

Glamping in the Blue Ridge Mountains—where comfort meets the wild.

What Is glamping/luxury camping?

Glamping is a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping. (Think cozy beds, a place to cook your meals, pretty décor while being surrounded by forest and night sky)

what can we expect with a stay at wildhaven?

Peace. Privacy/ Proximity to so much of what the NC Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer within a short drive.

(Note: We are a working micro-farm and active land rejuvenation project. So, you may see us out and about watering plants, feeding our chickens, running our tractor, walking our dogs or building something. Or—not at all.;-) The acreage is over 30 acres and we will always wave hello but we leave our guests to the peace they came here to find.)

You can expect our glamping accommodations will be well thought out and we will add new amenities as the years go on. However-we are still a rustic/rural setting. We are not ‘traditional campers’ ourselves (well—one of us isn’t;-) so we try and offer the creature comforts we love to have when out in nature (like fresh coffee beans and linens to sink into at night—but it is also not a full-service hotel.

Expect hills to walk, rocks to step over, bugs (the summer fireflies on our land our SPECTACULAR!) , animals spotting, wildflowers, changing weather (bring layers!) and the ability to do as much or as little as you would like.

what should i bring?

Airstreams and glamping tents tend to be luxe for camping—but petite. We recommend you bring only what you need to make your stay amazing. (your parking will be very close by so non-essentials you’d like to bring can be accessed easily as you need them, allowing you to keep your sleeping accommodations uncrowded.

Suggestions on what to pack:

  • Bring layers (mountains weather can change from warm to cool, dry to wet quickly. ) A rain jacket is always a good choice as are comfortable ‘outdoor/hiking’ shoes and socks.
  • Whatever meals/beverage items you may like unless you intend on dining out for your stay (see dining options here: ) We provide a charcoal grill and the airstream has a full kitchenette-but will you will want to bring charcoal/lighter as our sometimes walk away;-)
  • Headlamps or a flashlight (we provide a lantern but of you wish to walk the grounds at night there is not much ambient light up here)
  • We provide your first small bundle of firewood (and sometimes have more for sale) but you may wish to bring additional
